Tips for learning at home

  • Keep it short and fun. 5 to 10 minutes is plenty for a 3 to 5 year old.
  • Start at the red dot and trace from top to bottom, the way children learn at school.
  • Use a thick crayon or pencil. It is easier for little hands to hold.
  • Laminate a page or slip it in a plastic sleeve and use a whiteboard marker, so you can use it again and again.
  • Praise the effort, not the neatness. Wobbly letters are part of learning.

These worksheets come from the same kind of activities our children enjoy in our School Readiness Program. Want to see it in action? Book a tour or check your fees. Most families with a 4-year-old coming 3 days a week pay $0 to $60 a week after government funding.
