Small and established, near Carlingford
From Carlingford, Sophie’s Cottage is about 8 minutes by car down Pennant Hills Road and Adderton Road. The light rail also runs from Carlingford to Telopea in a few minutes, and we are close to the Telopea stop.
Carlingford is growing fast, and many of its centres are large and new. Families who want the opposite, a small preschool with a long history, find us a short trip away. We have been open since 1996.
Carlingford children go on to schools such as Carlingford Public School and Carlingford West Public School. Our school readiness program builds the independence and classroom habits those schools look for in new kindergarten students.

Our full daily fee is $119. Most families pay far less, because the Child Care Subsidy and NSW Start Strong fee relief both come off that fee.

A true preschool for ages 3 to 6
We are not a long day care with a preschool room. Every child here is aged 3 to 6, so the whole day is built around getting ready for school. Read more about preschool versus long day care.
Our Bee group (3 to 4 years) attends at least 2 days a week. Our Butterfly group (4 to 6 years) attends at least 3 days and follows our school readiness program.
