A Small Kindergarten near Sydney Olympic Park
Government-Funded
We are approved for the Child Care Subsidy and NSW Start Strong funding, so Olympic Park families pay far less than the full daily fee. Our fees calculator shows your likely weekly cost in about a minute.
Family Owned
Sophie’s Cottage is run by its owners, not a chain. Our Director, Miss Janelle, knows each child and each family by name.
Small Classes
We take only 28 children a day, in two small groups: the Bees (3 to 4 years) and the Butterflies (4 to 6 years). Your child is known, noticed and never lost in a crowd.

Our Philosophy
We see every child as capable and curious. In a small cottage setting, children from Sydney Olympic Park and nearby suburbs build confidence at their own pace, feel safe to try new things, and learn to care for each other. We work closely with each family, because you know your child best.
Our Curriculum
Children learn through play, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework. Each day mixes art, stories, music, early maths, science and plenty of outdoor play. In the year before school, our school readiness program builds the skills children need to start Kindergarten with confidence.
